Cookie Policy

Summary
Detec AI may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, security, consent management, analytics, and advertising. Text entered into the writing detector or draft editor and the output generated by those tools are not stored in cookies.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on a browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies can remember preferences, maintain security, measure website usage, and support advertising.
Similar technologies include local storage, tags, pixels, scripts, and device identifiers. In this policy, we use “cookies” to refer to cookies and comparable technologies unless stated otherwise.
2. Submitted text is not stored in cookies
Detec AI does not use cookies to save text entered into the writing detector or draft editor. Generated detection results and edited output are also not stored in cookies.
Submitted input and generated output are processed temporarily to provide the requested result and are not retained by Detec AI after processing is completed.
Cookies used for analytics, advertising, security, or consent management are separate from text submitted to the writing tools.
3. Categories of cookies we may use
| Category | Purpose | When it may operate |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, traffic management, fraud prevention, service stability, and essential website functionality. | These may operate without optional consent where permitted by law. |
| Consent preferences | Remembering whether you accepted, rejected, or configured optional cookies. | Used when a cookie or privacy preferences notice is displayed. |
| Analytics | Understanding page visits, interactions, devices, general location, and website performance. | Activated after consent where consent is legally required. |
| Advertising | Displaying, limiting, personalizing, securing, and measuring advertisements. | Activated according to applicable law and your consent choices. |
| Performance and security | Monitoring availability, detecting malicious traffic, and improving delivery speed. | Some may be necessary; others may depend on consent. |
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the website and to identify performance or usability problems.
Google Analytics may process information such as pages visited, interaction events, browser and device information, IP-derived approximate location, referring pages, and cookie or device identifiers.
Google Analytics cookies may include cookies such as _ga and cookies beginning with _ga_. Cookie names and durations may change as Google updates its services.
Text entered into the writing detector or draft editor, and the output generated by those tools, is not intentionally included in Google Analytics events.

5. Google AdSense
Detec AI may use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver, limit, secure, personalize, and measure advertisements.
Advertising technologies may process IP addresses, device and browser information, advertising interactions, page visits, cookie identifiers, and general location information.
Depending on your location and consent choices, Google may display personalized or non-personalized advertisements. Non-personalized advertisements may still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, and security.
Google advertising cookies may include cookies such as __gads, __gpi, __eoi, IDE, or other cookies and identifiers. The exact cookies used can vary by location, browser, consent choice, and Google configuration.
Input submitted to Detec AI tools and generated output are not intentionally shared with Google AdSense for advertising personalization.

6. Cloudflare and security cookies
Cloudflare may provide content delivery, security, bot protection, traffic management, and performance services for Detec AI.
Depending on the security features activated, Cloudflare may set cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. These cookies help distinguish legitimate traffic from automated or malicious activity.
Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request information, device information, security events, and diagnostic data according to its Privacy Policy.
7. Consent preferences
Where required by law, Detec AI displays a consent notice before activating optional analytics or advertising technologies.
The consent system may store a cookie or similar record to remember your choices. This prevents the website from asking for the same preferences on every page visit.
Visitors in regions where consent is required can accept, reject, or configure optional purposes through the consent notice. You can later review or change your choices through the cookie preferences control when it is available on the website.
8. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers allow you to view, delete, block, or limit cookies through their privacy settings. You can also configure the browser to notify you before a cookie is stored.
Blocking strictly necessary or security cookies may affect website availability, security checks, consent preferences, or other essential functionality.
Blocking analytics or advertising cookies should not prevent you from entering text into the core writing tools, although some supporting features or preferences may operate differently.
9. Cookie duration
Cookies may be session cookies or persistent cookies:
- Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain until their configured expiration date or until you delete them.
Cookie durations are determined by Detec AI or the relevant third-party provider and may change as services and configurations are updated.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology, providers, advertising configuration, consent practices, or legal obligations change.
Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
